Boys, Messiahs is a found-footage piece made from vintage gay porn and closes on Luca Signorelli’s Lamentation over the Dead Christ. Edited frame by frame, the piece traces a progression from looking to touching, from kissing to orgasm, and into the quiet after. In the process, pornographic material begins to resemble something close to spiritual ecstasy and rebirth.
